Pitchfork Fest Completely Sold Out! Set Times Revealed!
And then there were none. With the 2007 Pitchfork Music Festival just on the horizon-- hey look, you can already see Thurston Moore's head!-- we are happy to announce that all three days of the festival are now completely sold out. That's right. Come Friday, July 13, Saturday, July 14, and Sunday, July 15, Chicago's Union Park will be filled to capacity, as you and several thousand of your closest friends take in the alluring sounds of Sonic Youth, GZA, Slint, Yoko Ono (with some very special guests), De La Soul, the New Pornographers, Cat Power, Stephen Malkmus, Clipse, Of Montreal, Mastodon, Girl Talk, and some two dozen more of your favorite bands.
Start planning your potty breaks, meal trips, and sprints from stage to stage now, as we're also quite pleased to announce the festival set times today. As with last year's bash, mainstage acts will be staggered between the two open air stages, Aluminum and Connector (so you won't have to miss a beat), while acts on the Balance stage (the tent, if you will) will run simultaneously throughout the day.
It's also a perfect time to make note of the myriad other activities taking place both at and in conjunction with the festival. By now you're already familiar with the LunchBreak concert series and the free eMusic compilation. But we're also thrilled to once again play host to the WLUW record fair, the DEPART-ment craft fair, and the 13th Flatstock poster convention. Find these nestled amid a bunch of choice food and beverage vendors, as well as tables devoted to voter registration, social movements, and more.
And now, the complete 2007 Pitchfork Music Festival schedule (all times p.m.)...
