Wilco Kick Off U.S. Tour This Weekend

Between prepping new records by Glenn Kotche, Loose Fur, and Golden Smog (due March 7 on Nonesuch, March 21 on Drag City, and July 18 on Rykodisc respectively), Jeff Tweedy heading out on a solo jaunt (with supporting acts Glenn Kotche and Nels Cline), and your typical press dealings, Wilco's members have been there, here, and pretty much everywhere but in Wilco recently.

This weekend, Tweedy, Kotche, Cline, John Stirratt, Pat Sansone, and Mikael Jorgensen will take a break from all side and solo projects to pull together and launch a hefty U.S. tour. Cementing their status as a unique band is the fact that not one show will take place in Austin, TX in two weeks. Music industry-- who needs it?
