Dungen to Release Stadsvandringar in U.S.

You know that kickass throwback psych band Dungen we've been creaming over for a year or so? Some of you may think they named themselves after a dark, damp prison. Others may believe it has something to do with feces. Only a teensy fraction of the world (ahhm-- according to our, uh, statistics) holds the truth. Straight from the press release that graced our e-mail box yesterday: Dungen is "pronounced Doon-Yun." Well, don't we feel stupid now for telling you it was prounounced "dung-in" last month.

Ok, enough, on the real news. As you know, Dungen let their album Ta Det Lugnt loose on the United States earlier this year, after all the cool kids bought up imports. Well readers, good work. For once, it seems you backed off the illegal downloading and got off your behinds to purchase an album. Due to Dungen's U.S. success, Astralwerks is bringing the band's 2002 album, Stadsvandringar, all the way to the Fifty Nifty United States for the first time ever! Stadsvandringar, which translates roughly to "City Walks", will hit shelves on October 4, which happens to be this coming Tuesday, so we recommend you form a single file line outside the record store door starting...NOW.

While you're out on the town, remember to stop by your local venue. You might see some long, blonde hair and flutes flying about:
